Neuromuscular Facial Protocol

A NEW CLINICAL PROTOCOL

WHAT IT DOES

Lifts.

EMS activates the muscles that hold up the face, restoring tone where it’s been lost to aging or chronic tension patterns.

Contours.

RF reduces stubborn submental and jawline fullness, refining the lower face and definition of the mandibular border.

Tightens.

RF stimulates collagen and elastin remodeling in the deeper skin layers, improving firmness and texture over a course of treatment.

Releases.

EMS at clinical parameters helps decompress chronically guarded jaw and facial muscles – the masseter, temporalis, and surrounding tissues that drive TMJ-related pain.

NEEDLES OR DOWNTIME

Each session begins with a brief clinical assessment. Treatment areas are selected based on your goals – TMJ-driven, aesthetic, or both. You’ll feel a comfortable warmth from the RF and gentle muscle activation from the EMS. Most patients return to normal activities immediately. Subtle change is often noticeable after the first session; visible results develop across the series.

DESIGNED BY A CLINICIAN WHO TREATS BOTH

This protocol exists because most facial treatments treat the face and most TMJ treatments treat the jaw – and very few clinicians treat both. Dr. Pezeshkian’s dual training in chiropractic and dental hygiene, combined with a decade of clinical work in TMJ dysfunction, shapes how every session is structured. The same muscles that lift the face also drive the jaw. Treating them as one system is the difference.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is this a medical or cosmetic treatment?

Both. The protocol is engineered to address TMJ-related muscular dysfunction and to support facial toning and contour. Patients can pursue it for clinical reasons, aesthetic reasons, or both.

How is this different from Botox or fillers?

Botox temporarily paralyzes muscles; fillers add volume. This protocol works the muscles and stimulates the skin’s own collagen and elastin production. It’s non-invasive, needle-free, and additive – it can be used alongside injectables, not as a replacement for them.

When will I see results?

Many patients notice subtle changes – reduced jaw tension, smoother skin texture, mild lifting – after the first session. Visible aesthetic results typically develop across a series of 4 to 6 sessions, with continued improvement in the weeks following.

Does it hurt?

No. Most patients describe the sensation as a comfortable warmth with rhythmic muscle activation. There are no needles, no injections, and no recovery time.

Who shouldn’t have this treatment?

The protocol is not appropriate for patients with active facial infections, pacemakers or implanted electrical devices, certain metal implants in the treatment area, pregnancy, or active malignancy in the treatment zone. A brief clinical screening confirms candidacy at your first visit.

Can this be covered by insurance or FSA/HSA?

For TMJ-related care, FSA/HSA may apply. Insurance does not typically cover this protocol. Cherry financing and a 10% cash discount on packages paid in full are available.
